Begin with a clear product record
Catalog and Inventory is the shared foundation for your stock. The Create Product form starts with images, a product name, an SKU and a barcode. Use consistent identifiers so a scanned product and its stock movements refer to the same item.
Describe how the item is sold
Set the base price, currency, cost and category. Add shipping dimensions where needed, and an expiry date only for products that expire. Variants let you separate choices such as size or flavor. Review each variant rather than assuming all choices share a price.
Connect stock to real locations
Define warehouse and store locations before distributing stock. Purchase orders, receiving, stock transfers and movements serve different purposes. The detailed course follows that sequence and explains shelf, store and warehouse tracking. A product record alone does not prove stock is available in every store.

Build a shared product catalogue
The global catalogue holds product identities and their allocations across selling locations. Start here when the same goods must be managed across several stores.
Set up locations and count stock
A quantity is meaningful only when you know where it belongs. Separate shelf stock, storage and warehouse allocations before making adjustments.
Transfer stock and review movements and expiry
Moving goods and correcting a count are different actions. Keep a clear trail from source to destination.
Create purchase orders, receive goods and track payment
A purchase order records what you intend to buy. Receiving records what arrived. Payment records what you paid. Keep those events separate.
Create coupons and audit redemptions
The shared coupon system can target several modules and stores. A code must satisfy its eligibility rules before checkout can apply it.
